Dresden S-Bahn : ウィキペディア英語版 | Dresden S-Bahn
The Dresden S-Bahn provides commuter train services in Dresden and the surrounding area. It was established in 1973 and comprises three lines. It connects many districts of Dresden as well as Meißen, Radebeul, Pirna and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Dresden Airport, Freital, Freiberg and Tharandt. The network is about 128 kilometers in length and has 47 stations (of which 16 are in Dresden). Normally trains consist of an electric locomotive and up to five bi-level cars. Some stations grant direct access to the Weisseritz Valley and Radebeul-Radeburg narrow-gauge railways. ==Lines== The following lines are operated: * Meißen-Triebischtal – Meißen – Radebeul-Kötzschenbroda – Dresden-Neustadt – Dresden Hauptbahnhof – Heidenau – Pirna – Bad Schandau – Schöna * Dresden Airport – Dresden-Klotzsche – Dresden-Industriegelände – Dresden-Neustadt – Dresden Hauptbahnhof – Heidenau – Pirna * Freiberg – Tharandt – Dresden Hauptbahnhof All three lines carry two trains per hour in each direction, although this reduces to one train per hour in the outer sections of line S1 (Bad Schandau - Schöna) and S3 (Freiberg - Tharandt). In peak-hours S3 runs up to 4 times an hour between Dresden and Tharandt.
